Brief History 

Crafty Ring® was originally inspired by my want to have a faster way to change colors in crochet by being able to hold and keep tension with two independent yarns and not having to drop the yarns to change color. I soon realized it had an added bonus of avoiding the usual yarn twisting!  

Crafty Ring® anatomical design and  fit aided me with some hand issues I was having. It is very comfortable to wear and use. Please give the ring a little patience when you first try it and soon you will find that Crafty Ring®  will become a pleasant part of your crafting flow that saves you in both time and wasted motions. The bottom line for me is now I can create my art faster, more efficiently and with more comfort than ever before. Give it a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Our Company

Crafty Ring® is a family made product created in the coastal area of North Carolina. Each one is created, inspected and packaged with our own caring hands. We are very proud to say we are very “Green” and the ring is currently produced from plant based oil plastics and pure copper wire.  

Carbon Footprint

We have a zero carbon energy footprint for manufacturing at our home facility. We create the ring and print the labels with the energy produced from our 8 kilowatt solar array. We hand shape, assemble and package the product all at our home facility.   

Recyclability

Crafty Ring® is easily recyclable by separating  the copper from the plastic body as you can return the plastic to the earth (preferably your plant beds) and repurpose the copper wire as a wire tie or donate it to your nearest recycling facility.

Product Analogy

Crafty Ring®  has fixed some of the common device issues such as difficult yarn loading and the yarn guides pointing in the wrong direction (most but not all direct the yarn in the same line as the knuckle to tip of the finger.  To us, comfort is a really big issue and Crafty Ring® is a true “one size fits all”, shaped to work with the contour of your finger and so comfortable dang that you may forget to take it off (I am speaking from experience here).

Product Comparisons

Unlike the other devices I have purchased to research the fit, comfort and use, my ring should never affect your finger blood circulation or pinch because its too tight. Imagine buying a $30 other yarn guide ring concept only to find out you ordered the wrong size or your fingers have gotten a little swollen. What can you do? Nothing but with Crafty Ring® you can open or close the finger size easily! 

Think about this, how can you share a one size only ring with your little one or friends? Do you now pick your friends based on their finger size? I don’t think you would but this would never be a concern with Crafty Ring®. I also ordered one that looked like a finger sized  “simple spring” and item was way too tight and the guides were (in my opinion) in the wrong direction. It was not size adjustable as far as I could figure out so now it sits in the drawer and is useless.  

I did order the little one that looks like a bubble gum toy ring (literally that small and made from a similar plastic from a 50¢ gum ball machine’s toy ring) and that one was also way to tight for my finger tip as well and the yarn spacing was simply not enough to allow easy yarn grabbing.  I kept grabbing the yarn I just used because the yarns were practically side by side.
